Devin vs. JoJo, Tank Davis PPV + Boxing In Stockton
Tank Davis PPV
Gervonta Davis will take on Isaac Cruz as Davis looks to defend his WBA “regular” lightweight title on his third PPV card of his young career. The fight originally set to be a grudge match between himself, and Rolando Romero, best known as Rolly, was postponed, and changed after allegations were about Romero.
Davis is 27-years-old, having won all, but one of his 25 fights by way of knockout, creating a 96% KO rate. Combine that with a knockout streak that dates back to 2015, and everyone one of his PPV’s have ended via a KO, and being a proven ticket seller. Right now, Davis is the guy in the division in terms of the business of boxing as he brings the biggest assets to the table currently.
Cruz is a fast starter, who is an inch shorter than Gervonta Davis, which sometimes smaller fighters actually prefer to fight bigger opponents, as well as gives up roughly four inches in terms of reach.
The bout should be action-packed as Cruz’s path to victory would be starting quick, as Cruz tends to struggle in the back-half of fights.
Sebastian Fundora will face Sergio Garcia in a WBC junior middleweight eliminator, as Fundora, who is roughly six-foot, six-inches, fights at 154 lbs., which is unfathomable, and most merit supreme discipline will face Sergio Garcia, a mauler who beat Ted Cheeseman. The bout is compelling, but on paper, everything Garcia does, Fundora does much better, and is younger. Fundora has had some fights in which he looked mortal, so this will be a chance for him to stand-out, and become a world title mandatory as well.
Sergiy Derevyanchenko faces Carlos Adames in a middleweight contest, and my big concern is will Derevyanchenko’s wars with Daniel Jacobs, Gennady Golovkin, Jermall Charlo, and so forth have added up for him. Adames, who was once with Top Rank Inc., lost a world title fight to Patrick Teixeira, and afterward began fighting on Premier Boxing Champions card.
Eduardo Ramirez will face a man who will give him all he can handle as the hall-of-good nominee Miguel Marriaga will do battle. Marriaga has fought a who’s who of fighters, like Lomachenko, Oscar Valdez, and was last seen being stopped by Joet Gonzalez. Ramirez is not a Joet Gonzalez level, but he is an aggressive puncher who goes for broke, and Marriaga has a lethal right-hand even at an advanced age.

In one of the most exciting fights of the year, Devin Haney, who holds a form of the WBC lightweight world title will face, 2012 U.S. Olympain, and former 130 lbs world champion, Joseph Diaz Jr., in Haney’s toughest test as a pro, yet.
The bout I feel will be won in the second half of the fight, and will come down to who can navigate the distance in which the fight takes place at.
Haney is a celebrated American boxing star, who has taken social media by storm, and is slowly starting to graduate to the next level of competition will face Joseph Diaz Jr., who is a 2012 Olympian, a former world champion, and someone who has faced much higher level competition both in terms of being a pro, and in terms of amateur international experience.
The downside to experience is; has Diaz been through the ringer too much? This is to me is as compelling of a fight as we will see by year’s end, and the winner becomes an interesting challenger for an undisputed lightweight world title shot against George Kambosos Jnr., next year.
“This is a dream come true to be living in Las Vegas and headlining the MGM Grand,” said Haney. “I never thought that it would come this fast, but it’s here and now it’s time for me to really perform at this great arena and show that I am here to stay.
undercard
Jessica McCaskill, the undisputed champion at women’s welterweight, recently re-upped her contract with Matchroom Boxing, and will get a fight in before the year ends as she faces, Kandi Wyatt. This should be a good way to display McCaskill’s talents before she heads into 2022 for seemingly very competitive and interesting bouts.
Montana Love will face Carlos Ortiz, a man who was stopped Jose Zepeda fairly recently. If Love looks good in victory, I would like to see him against Sandor Martin in 2022, as Love was sitting ringside for that bout.
Filip Hrgovic will face undefeated Emir Ahmatovic for a form of the IBF international title. Hrgovic’s career is feeling like light heavyweight world champion, Artur Beterbiev’s, in which no one is watching what he is doing. Hrgovic is one of the heavyweight I believe Matchroom will need to elevate next year to see success.
Austin “Ammo” Williams versus Quatavious Cash is an even fight, that will show how much of a ceiling Williams has. Williams took time away from the sport because of mental health, and returned with coach Kevin Cunningham. Cash trains in Las Vegas, and is a solid fighter. For Williams, to get a further investment on his career, this is a fight he needs to win, even if ugly.
Marc Castro, the blue-chip guy signed to Matchroom Boxing will be back on this card, and any time the Fresno, Ca fighter fights, you should watch.
Oakland’s own, Amari Jones will be on the undercard as well. P.S. he is really good.
Toscano Boxing returns to Stockton, California
Saturday, December 4th - Fite.TV (PPV) - Tickets
Toscano Boxing Promotions returns with a card in Stockton with some evenly matched bouts on the top of the card.
Toscano Boxing Promotions’ middleweight Damian “Samurai” Sosa is in for a tough bout as he faces Clay Collard, an upset-minded opponent, who will give Sosa a 50-50 fight. Sosa has been built back to life after a 2019 loss in Canada to Artem Oganesyan for a form WBO super welterweight title. Toscano has kept him active, he is on a 7-fight win streak, picking up the WBO Latino super welterweight title in his last bout, getting a split-decision win over Abel Mina.
To this point in Sosa’s career, he struggled to separate from opponents, and against Clay Collard, he has to avoid his bad habits of sitting on the ropes, and also being reckless on defense. A solid main event that if Sosa will be able to get a big money fight, this is the type of fight he has to win, and to get on the national radar, he has to make a statement.
Manuel Jaimes vs. Moises Flores will be the co-main event, as Manuel Jaimes is in the running for ITRBoxing.com’s Northern California Fighter of the Year, but will face a former world title challenger in Flores, who fought Daniel Roman in recent memory, as well as world champion Brandon Figueroa. Jaimes is coming off a draw in seemingly the “camp from hell” situation, in which he didn’t look like himself. Jaimes will get himself into the world title picture with a win. Notable is that Flores hasn’t weighed in at less than 140 lbs in his last two bouts.
A very good super flyweight in Vincent Avina will be in-action, as he spent time with Ismael Salas for this camp, and will face Alexis Salido, who has only one loss, and that is a very good pro prospect, Michael Angeletti.
Other notables, lightweight Wade Jones III, who is signed to Toscano Boxing Promotions will look to rebound after a defeat in his last fight in Mexico, and Gabriel Muratalla, the brother of Raymond, who fought on the Terence Crawford versus Shawn Porter PPV undercard will be on the card as well.
For fight fans, Robert Garcia will be at this show as well.

This Thursday Triller Fight Club returns with a really good card on their episodic fight series, Michael Hunter will rematch Jerry Forrest, as they first fought in 2014, but due to his opponent getting canceled, Forrest will serve as a late-notice replacement.
Trey Lippe Morrison, the son of Tommy Morrison, will take on undefeated Mike Balogun in the toughest test of his career, also Cassiaus Chaney will face George Arias, and Hannah Gabriels will put her WBC heavyweight world title on the line against Danielle Perkins. The card is a ShoBox level enjoyable card.
Stockton, Ca boxer and promoter Giovannie Gonzalez will fight this weekend in the south as he looks to expand his promotion.
