Schedule: Keyshawn Davis-Denys Berinchyk, Jack Catterall-Arnold Barboza Jr

Denys Berinchyk-Keyshawn Davis

Start Time: Friday, ESPN main card [6 pm PST], ESPN+ undercard [2 pm PST]

Can Keyshawn Davis become a world champion?

On Friday, we find out. Davis faces Denys Berinchyk, who beat Emanuel Navarrete to win the title.

Despite being the champ, Berinchyk is being viewed as the underdog which speaks to the star power of Davis.

This is a good one on Valentine’s Day.

undercard.

Heavyweight Jared Anderson returns after his loss to Martin Bakole.

A good junior middleweight contender fight between Xander Zayas and Slawa Spomer. The winner should end up in a title fight.

Welterweight Rohan Polanco will face Jean Carlos Torres. Since losing to Darwin Price, Torres has picked up some big wins, Polanco is a fighter I see being able to fight for a title by the end of the year.

Middleweights Vito Mielnicki Jr and Connor Coyle find themselves in a 50-50 fight.

Lightweight Abdullah Mason vs. Manuel Jaimes is a fun-fight between two good action fighters and the welterweight debut of Tiger Johnson will be on this card as well.

Jack Catterall-Arnold Barboza Jr

Start Time: Saturday, 11 am PST on DAZN

A good main event at junior welterweight that will crown one of the top guys of the division.

undercard notes

Junior lightweight Zelfa Barrett will fight Jazza Dickens in a good regional match. Another quality junior lightweight bout will see Reece Bellotti vs. Michael Gomez Jr, welterweight Pat McCormack will fight veteran Robbie Davies Jr., and William Crolla will be featured on the card.

Oscar Duarte vs. Miguel Madueno

Start Time: Saturday, 5 pm PST on DAZN

Oscar Duarte vs. Miguel Madueno

A potential fight of the year match-up. Duarte finds himself in with a tough late-sub after Regis Prograis had to withdraw. Madueno is no walkover.

underacrd notes

Super middleweight Darius Fulghum will fight Winfred Harris. Fulghum is inching toward the top of the division, flyweight Ricardo Sandoval could be a future titleholder, Kenneth Sims Jr. vs. Kendo Castaneda is a nice clash of styles though Sims is of a different pedigree, welterweight Joel Iriarte should be featured on the undercard. Deep cuts to watch for, a middleweight 50-50 fight between Petr Khamukov and Dayan Depestre, and junior featherweight Gael Cabrera, who has a lot of potential.

Other Notable Fights:

In Germany, former beltholder Felix Sturm fights Benjamin Blinder at light heavyweight and former middleweight titleholder Vincenzo Gualtieri will fight Alexander Pavlov.

Brian Norman Sr., the father of Brian Norman Jr., will fight Greg Hackett on BLK Prime in Georgia.

A regional northeast card will see Rashidi Ellis, Amelia Moore and Ali Feliz in regional action on a CES Boxing card.

The best night in Salem, Oregon? Look at this card on Sunday Jabin Chollet vs. Dante Ettore in a TV-quality fight, Rashad Ganaway vs. Jose Marruffo, Ryan Lee Allen vs. Erik Ruiz, and Keith Hunter vs. German Lara. I hope this is streamed on YouTube.
